In my current role at North Virginia Community College, I am involved in recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating 40 full-time faculty, 10 staff, and 100 adjunct faculty. I also moderate class schedules in all formats while writing annual planning and evaluations for the division. I drive continuous improvement of curriculum and educational planning. I am also gathering and analyzing SLO data and report findings. I participate in DEI summit meetings to discuss innovative ideas for improvements. I am developing and maintaining long-term professional relationships with community organizations. I collaborate with AVP on academic affairs on transfer pathways and GMU/NOVA ADVANCE program. I prepare and control division budget and professional development funds with a focus on additional costs. I deliver expert-level guidance and advisory services to students while serving as an interim Campus Provost.Here is a list of my key accomplishments: • Completed annual planning and evaluation reports to improve operations, and academics and to ensure diversity and equity goals are met.• Served on provost's leadership team, which organized professional development funds and increases and monitored offerings.• Oversaw operating and personnel budgets greater than $1M.

In my previous role as Biotechnology Program Head and Biology Professor, I have instructed various courses to students while serving on the curriculum committee and as senate chair as well as on our campus council. I have arranged training and development programs for adjunct faculty to boost knowledge and performance. I have developed and launched new biotechnology courses in both in-person and online formats. I have built strong collaboration with faculty to utilize grant funding to better equip the laboratories. I have communicated with AVP for academic affairs to build and improve transfer agreements with four-year universities.Here are some of my key contributions: • Founded a biotechnology advisory board which assisted students in finding internships and job opportunities.• Developed courses on microbiology, anatomy, and physiology, cell biology, general biology, and biotechnology courses for the Loudoun Campus.
