The company was formerly sponsored by Bain Capital, under which we helped grow and scale the company from 13 to 29 units, before selling to Morgan Stanley Capital Partners in June 2019.

Served as the Chief Financial Officer for a multi-unit Planet Fitness franchisee, part of Bain Capital's Double Impact fund. The Double Impact Fund is a private equity Impact fund that aims at investing in companies that drive both a financial impact, as well as a social and environmental impact. Helped guide the company through it's rapid growth process, from 13 to 29 units, including a 6 club acquisition and international expansion, as well as achieve B-Corp eligibility. Subsequently, oversaw the due diligence process and ensuing sale to Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.

Served as the chief financial and accounting executive for the largest Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches franchisee in the Untied States. Helped guide the company through a large and rapid expansion over 4 years, with the construction of 21 new units, increasing the company to a high-water mark of 53 units in three different states: Michigan, Arizona, and California. Subsequently, oversaw the due diligence process and ensuing sale of both the Arizona (20 units) and California (6 units) markets in 2016. Responsibilities included leading the team responsible for preparing/reviewing monthly and annual financial statements and tax returns, financial forecasting, analyzing and presenting financial results to owners and operations staff, internal controls, lender and debt compliance, and daily cash management, among others.

Managed the financial reporting, analysis, and accounting guidance on GM’s workers’ compensation and extended disability plans, including preparing OPEB 10Q/10K footnote disclosures, administering the quarterly valuation process, SOX testing, preparing monthly financial statement analytics, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, and developing liability roll-forwards for executive review.

Led health care finance team in analyzing and forecasting the 2009 monthly cash spend in accordance with the loan agreement between GM and the United States Treasury Office; Performed monthly analysis of enrollee/subscriber eligibility with GM associated Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) in concurrence with Fidelity Corporation. Selected by upper management in June 2009 to move from the Finance organization to the Accounting organization to have an active role in GM’s Fresh Start Accounting initiative, “Direct Drive,” to remediate GM’s material weakness in internal controls. Effectively collaborated with multi-functional teams to enhance internal controls, improve inadequate account reconciliations, and increase group organization and overall efficiency, resulting in company time savings.

Managed and recorded day-to-day bank account financial reporting for an average of $17M in daily disbursements and reimbursements for claims between General Motors and 14 health care providers, which fed into monthly financial reports, and aided in forecasting and budgeting.

Processed End Use Certificates as procurement trade agreements between Germany, Belgium, and the United States for vehicles and ammunition with a total cost of over $300M; Authored a report on the Berry Amendment that was distributed to each Department of the Army contracting division in the United States, clarifying the Amendment and assisting in decision-making.

Reviewed and examined multiple databases used by Department of Defense agencies to track deliveries of vehicles and spare parts from contractors to the U.S. Army in Iraq and Afghanistan, and reported findings to Team Leader daily.
