At first, Dmytro was studying Law, where he got involved deeply in the scientific life of his institution and international educational initiatives. After graduating with an M.Sci., Dmytro decided to continue searching for himself in Computer Science. He studied at first at Kyiv Polytechnic University and then transitioned to the Ukrainian Catholic University when he discovered that the Applied Sciences Faculty had opened there and joined the first course of bachelor’s study. In 2019, he graduated with honours “summa cum laude”.During his studies, he had a research internship at Czech Technical University and got in touch with robotics and autonomous navigation problems. From the autumn of 2018, he started working in the newly established Robotics group at the SoftServe and continued retaining this connection. Besides various robotics projects he gained 3+ years of experience while developing an industrial Computer Vision library from scratch in C++.Most of the time after graduation, Dmytro continued to help the Faculty as a volunteer teaching assistant. In the autumn of 2022, he accepted the proposal to join and lead courses by himself. He was the leader of the “Algorithms and Data Structures” course and assisted with disciplines such as “Principles of Computer Organization” and “Architecture of Computer Systems.” After a successful year at the Faculty, he entered the new Ph.D. programme to concentrate on research in robotic vision and autonomous navigation problems.
