Telephone systems/personal computer repairers are trained to diagnose, modify, and perform repairs on telephone equipment, switchboards, Marine Corps Common Hardware Suite (MCHS)computers, peripheral devices and related equipment. Typical duties include repairs and the alignment to ground common telephone equipment and Marine Corps Common Hardware Suite (MCHS) computers, requisitioning of parts, and completing equipment repair orders.

I worked for HPe, as a Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) Architect, as well as the Lead Identity Engineer, for the Identity and Access Management engineering team. I worked with this team on the U.S. Navy's Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN), this involved fully scoping, designing, testing, and validating all solutions to be presented to the customer. This job utilized my clearance, and I was allowed to work on various enclaves of the network that require a clearance. Some of the solutions I worked on are classified. Leading the process of evaluating different solutions for the customer, based on requirements defined in a contract, I would deploy, and test many different solutions to ensure that the best-in-class and most effective solution is being proposed. Additionally, working on the DoD/DoN's NGEN contract, there are a set of security standards, and documentation processes that are extremely rigorous, demanding the highest level of detail, and technical expertise to be able to pass one of the many boards of approval, to move to the solution to the step of of the approval, and deployment process. The standards for security are dictated by the NSA, as well as the USCYBERCOM. The documentation procedures for the architecture, and design of any project being proposed for either the classified or unclassified networks, would used the Defense Systems Engineering Methodology(DSEM), and once the documents are drafted, and the architecture is complete, I would go through the Design Technical Review (DTR) sessions, and defend, as well as propose my designs and architectures to a technical board consisting of members from each discipline (Security, network, infrastructure, Info. Assur., etc) to get approval of the design which would allow for the solutions to then go through the 4 month process of rigorous review, and defense, known as DIACAP. This is the final approval needed by any solution being deployed to a DoD network.
