To deal with the massive changes and supply chain disruptions in the manufacturing and fashion industries, companies must have effective data management programs internally and with their consumers. In the manufacturing industry, this requires a strategy that yields accurate performance, material geometric characteristics about products and all the parts and components that make up a product. I assist companies with developing a strategy to transition PLM from managing documents to managing data.I applied the same data management principles to developing the architecture of the unique KnitFit application. In the fashion industry and specifically knitware, garment fit and collaboration are essential to consumer satisfaction. The KnitFit application, is a makers platform used to join people who make, design and supply materials such as yarn for people who create knitwear. The platform has several unique and industry disrupting features. For example, the platform enables designers to develop designs which will generate customized patterns from body measurements. Knitters knit garments that fit, enormously increasing their satisfaction.

Developed and deployed enterprise information management capability for the Safety and Productivity Solutions division. We cleansed 100K+ customer records and 2M+ material master records in SAP. We also cleansed data from many ERP systems as we migrated legacy ERPs to SAP and Oracle.

Lead the PLM practice for North America. In this role, lead many sales efforts as well as delivered several large PLM implementations for automotive and A&D companies.

Data is critical to everything. Especially product development. In my role, we delivered software and services that enabled companies to go beyond PLM and really structure data. We generated valuable insights into product cost, cost reduction, product performance, process performance, finding components and engineering tradeoffs. Assisted product development and supplychain leadership with achieving robust innovation by radical collaboration and decision making. Provided consulting services for industrial companies and PLM solution providers. Developed enterprise architectures that positioned mid-sized companies for 4X growth plans. Developed new approaches for product development collaboration using Google Enterprise Apps, Microsoft 360 and other PLM software. Results are more innovated ideas are generated, cycle times are reduced, efficiency improves, supplychain collaboration improves and product issues decline.

Lead the global IT and process management organization supporting product development and procurement engineers and in 11 countries. Implemented Component Supplier Management (CSM) system which contributed to generating $2.7B free cash flow in years 2009 and 2010. Acquired and deployed PTC Windchill Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system. Developed and deployed new CAD organization structure resulting engineering efficiency and fewer quality issues. Developed data architecture and systems based on Endeca enabling engineers to find and reuse all component and design knowledge regardless of global location.

The company produced the next generation of Component Supplier Management (CSM) software for managing characteristics about mechanical and electrical products and components. Companies using the software have achieved 10%-15% reductions in purchased material costs by part rationalization, inventory reduction, procurement decision support, supplier rationalization and improving the new part creation process. The software has several unique features which greatly facilitates the data development and maintenance process.

Built a new outsourced data development organization. Achieved break even in the first year and profitability in the second year. An example project was to create a highly detailed database catalog of one million components for a worldwide electronics distributor.

Member of the Strategic IT Effectiveness organization. Developed IT strategies and performed business process reengineering to improve product development for White Goods and Aerospace and Defense companies.

Member of the Information Technology Group teamed with the consumer and engineering products group developing strategies, evaluating and applying information technology effectively to engineering and manufacturing businesses.
