Co-founder of CloudCamp. With local tech leaders, I organized over 350 events and CloudCamps in over 100 cities around the world. I created the CloudCamp unconference event format (Lightning Talks, Unpanel, and Unconference sessions). I also created and organized OpsCamp (2010), BigDataCamp (2010-2014), NoSQLCamp (2014) and IoTCamp (2014), MarketingCamp (2013-2014)Additionally, I created EventTech (2010) with Shai Goldman of Silicon Valley Bank to create an event industry conference to highlight new technologies for the event industry and the startups & rock stars that use them to create new and exciting events.

As Technical Program Manager in the Software and Services Group (SSG), I worked with customers, partners and data scientists to create deep learning solutions with BigDL, a Deep Learning framework for Apache Spark. I identified early adopters and influential community members to help get the product ready for promotion. I worked with partners to develop hands-on workshops and high profile presentations at AWS re:Invent '17. I created and published the BigDL AMI for the AWS Marketplace using Docker containers. The AMI included an Apache Spark instance, the BigDL library, Jupyter Notebook & 2 versions of Python which could be used to train deep learning models.I also worked for the Trusted Analytics Platform (TAP) in the Analytics Solutions Group in Data Center Group (DCG).

As the first developer advocate, I was responsible for creating the developer marketing strategy for Redis Labs. The initial goal was to increase awareness for Redis Enterprise among open source Redis users and key ecosystem players. Mostly through blog posts, speaking engagements and event sponsorships, I created good will, important awareness and lasting buzz. My 4 most lasting achievements were: 1) Created our most popular Youtube video - "Top 5 Redis Use Cases" (see below)2) Identifying and then creating our initial partnership with Pivotal. I launched the first Redis Enterprise service broker hosted on PivNet. Our channel team has done an excellent job growing this relationship and today the revenue from this partnership is our most significant yet. 3) Negotiated the right to take over RedisConf from its previous community sponsor, then chairing the speaker selection process, recruiting influential speakers, and driving attendance for a successful RedisConf16. 4) I establish our Meetup speaking & sponsorship program "Meetup in a Box" which increased global Redis Meetup membership by 45% in 1 year.
