As a dedicated advocate for ending youth homelessness, I am deeply passionate about cultivating positive change in the lives of young individuals facing housing instability in my community. Currently serving as the Division Director of Youth Homeless Services at Volunteers of America, I oversee a comprehensive range of programs designed to address the unique needs of youth experiencing homelessness. This includes managing a youth homeless shelter, a youth housing program for formerly homeless youth, and a youth prevention program, all aimed at providing a safe and supportive environment for youth to thrive through adversity. As a CSW, I approach my work from a feminist-multicultural psychotherapy lens, recognizing the importance of intersectionality in understanding and addressing the complex challenges that youth experiencing homelessness often face. Through this perspective, I strive to empower and uplift the voices of those I serve, ensuring that their experiences and perspectives are valued and integrated into the services we provide.I am deeply committed to power sharing and believe in the strength that comes from amplifying the voices of young people.
