Design custom systems and lead implementations for asset managers as well as lead build out of company’s proprietary software packages.Strategy and Thought Leadership• Solved an industry wide expense allocation inefficiency by setting strategy and implementing automation by creating systems and algorithms to collect reference data (fund open, live dates, etc.), Digital Fund Agreement data (legal considerations) and expense data into one system for dynamic Allocation Intelligence for 4 of the top 10 global asset managers.• Restructured EAS implementation team facing exponential client needs to enable a 3x increase in productivity, leading to increasing staff knowledge base and increasing profit margins.Infrastructure Development• Refocused attention of 10 significant asset manager clients on straight through processing for expense allocation by implementing EAS, leveraging client current systems for end to end data integration and designing new file and API interfaces. • Designed an innovative way to utilize Investran’s reporting hierarchy and SSRS across hundreds of investors and funds, to help clients streamline ILPA reporting, resulting in significant cost savings for accounting teams and increasing investor confidence in asset manager clients.Data Integrity and Compliance• Convinced clients to establish data governance processes and procedures by first understanding needs of data owners and other internal constituents, then built out and maintained a “Golden Copy” of reference data synchronized across all systems.• Created consistent reporting across business units at the investment and investor level by migrating to a single chart of accounts, requiring the detailed reconciliations of the financials and sign-off from fund controllers and CFOs.Leadership• Elevated staff to project and implementation leads to grow and develop project management skills and allow them to assume direct client interaction and accountability.

• Designed, managed the development team, and implemented a custom royalty accounting system which produced client statements for traditional and gaming royalties. The system manages static data of over 3000 songs, 400 vendors and other interested parties and replaced the extremely high error process of managing data and statement generation through excel.• Designed and implemented user friendly, accurate and timely sales reports to assist a client in interpreting reports and data from various platforms and distribution channels. New system replaced inaccurate and very error prone process. Worked with an offshore team to create sales files from Microsoft, Sony, Electronic Arts, and Nintendo.• Redesigned workflow, implemented MS OneNote and check printing software to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk of a process which generates 70 million in checks per year. Created centralized database resulting in tight controls for all incoming and outgoing checks for each of 30+ companies. Eliminated paper and manual processes which created bottlenecks and inefficiency across the company.• Completed a system needs assessment for retail stores and oversaw the implementation of the software and hardware to provide better inventory controls and clarity to sales reporting across the company.

• Created an extensive roadmap for the integration of disparate customer relation management systems (CRM) for a large international data provider. Through acquisitions, the client had multiple instances of CRMs with varied customizations, workflows and reporting capabilities. Formerly disparate processes were inhibiting management from clearly understanding their customer base.• As a senior member of an executive team, completed a Data Architect Roadmap for MetLife Investments to provide them with a technology and data governance strategy across all asset classes including fixed income, equities, derivatives, alternatives and real estate.• Reviewed current applications and processes used to support the investment teams and created detailed flows to depict the movement of data across systems and to fully understand the environment. Data was being pulled from various sources and at different times which caused lack of data integrity and trust throughout the investment teams.

• Oversaw the implementation of a general ledger and partnership accounting system for a Fortress hybrid hedge fund with investments in equities, fixed income, private equity, internal and external funds, and direct investments. The system was chosen to reduce the accounting team’s dependence on Excel for partnership accounting and management reporting.• Redesigned and oversaw the business process improvements of the entire investment life cycle for portfolios investing in fixed income, equities, derivatives and FX. Drove the Charles River (CRD) trading system implementation to accomplish many of these goals which created consistent trading and operations processes across the firm.• Assessed and tested a proprietary pricing application for a hedge fund that manages a variety of absolute return strategies investing in bank debt, high yield bonds, distressed debt, middle market loans, equities and real estate. Pricing process had previously been done manually, which was very time consuming and error prone.
