I combine a technical background in bioengineering with a passion for visual and interior design.This unique, dual perspective lets me see the full picture of problems and processes and work with diverse groups, from researchers and engineering consultants to business operations and the general public.𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲:I started in academic research, earning an M.S. in Bioengineering and managing projects in an optical neural imaging lab.These projects applied optical coherence tomography to human health problems, including detecting early-onset seizure activity and quantifying artificial skin layer growth using stem cells.I led all engineering efforts, from initial research, experimental design, and execution to coordinating resources, creating custom scripts and data acquisition programs, and analyzing large, complex datasets.This experience supported my transition to engineering consulting, supporting federal grant submissions for military medical device technologies through detailed design documentation. I quickly grasped complex concepts, applied theoretical knowledge to practical challenges, and delivered high-quality results by asking insightful questions that addressed critical project requirements.𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲:My passion for DIY home renovation and visual and interior design led me to explore opportunities alongside my engineering work and learn about business operations in a retail setting.I designed visual displays, strategized floor plans, and optimized processes while fueling my love of creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces.𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 & 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀:𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘦𝘵: I approach new tasks with curiosity and a focus on learning the background of a particular problem, process, or technology and identifying the best approaches for moving forward.𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 & 𝘐𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦: I thrive in collaborative team environments and aim to leave every place and job better than I found it.𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨: I operate with my gut and strive to understand interpersonal dynamics between people and processes and manage and prioritize resources, actions, and timelines to meet short- and long-term goals.𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁!In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, spending time with my family, and trying new places, particularly—coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants.I am exploring project and program management opportunities that leverage my technical and creative assets.
