As an algorithm developer, one of the ways I have added value to the company is by suggesting ways to solve system stability issues. For example, I have developed alternate hardware for our sensors which are more robust than our current technology. I am also currently analyzing software related to computer vision and deep-learning. One of the biggest issue facing the company is the ability to track customers in videos collected by our sensors. I proposed an alternative tracking algorithm which uses a stereo camera to track customers using depth information. Also, when our core software infrastructure breaks, I work with a team of engineers to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
