Technical Solutions EngineerEpic Aug 2019 - Jan 2022Verona, Wisconsin, United StatesI worked closely with hospital organizations to make sure their Grand Central application of Epic was able to perform their custom workflows and ran smoothly. This included workflows for patient admissions, internal and external transfers, discharges, overall hospital bed planning, hospital occupancy reporting, as well as environmental service workflows. I contributed in Epic's downtime prevention team and was closely involved in system recovery for two organizations which came under attack of ransomware. This job greatly improved my abilities in networking strategic partnerships, issue escalation, critical time management skills, task prioritization, as well as improved my interpersonal skills with customers. I also gained a lot of experience in reading, writing, and troubleshooting code, as well as the application development process. -
Associate Calibration TechnicianCalibration Laboratory, Llc Jul 2017 - Jul 2019Merrillville, InI worked mostly from Calibration Laboratory's satellite location in Brookfield, WI. Research InternUniversity Of Wisconsin System Jan 2016 - Feb 2017Madison, Wisconsin AreaI was brought on full time from a Student Hourly position (Jan 2016 - May 2016) to continue my research. I preformed research on neutral hydrogen gas clouds in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC). I looked into processes of turbulent forces creating structures in the SMC. I wrote programs to run power spectrum analysis, and structure function analysis on a three-dimensional (position-position-velocity) array of the SMC. This was done to determine if different turbulent forces act upon the SMC in different regions. I wrote code in UNIX and IDL. During my time as a Research Intern I published a paper on my research, and I presented a poster of my research at the 229th American Astronomical Society conference. My research showed evidence that star formation is not the main contributor of gas turbulence. This job taught me proficient computer coding skills, made me efficient in analyzing large data sets, sharpened my time management, strengthened my perseverance towards goals despite set backs, and improved my public speaking as well as scientific writing. -
Student HourlyUniversity Of Wisconsin System Mar 2014 - May 2016Madison, Wisconsin AreaI was responsible for fabricating and setting up displays for the UW-Madison's Physics Museum. The museum is designed for people of all ages to interact directly with the displays and to foster curiosity for the physical world. I often worked with basic electronics to create complex circuits needed for the physics displays. I fabricated 6 museum displays for UW-Madison's Physics Museum, and participated in the creation of many others for The Madison Science Museum located in Madison Area Technical College's downtown campus. This job taught me small team dynamics, improved my independent problem solving, sharpened my ability to apply learned concepts, made me tenacious against challenging problems, and bolstered my ability to communicate complex ideas to people in simple ways.
