CurrentThe Head of Trade Management has the overall responsibility to articulate and execute the business strategy in a defined trade route, and deliver or exceed budget results. The Trade Manager also has the responsibility to analyse voyage results, and help manage the Commercial interaction with select key accounts. Purpose:· Plan, improve and implement business development initiatives and service delivery targets through the Trade Plan. · Analyse market, customers and competitors in the trade with the aim of delivering the highest possible financial yield. Maintain a close dialogue with Customers, and ensure an appropriate service delivery adherence. Set efficient pricing in the Liner market. Guide pricing decisions in the OEM market. · Prioritise cargo in the trade according to company’s strategy and objectives. Key Role Interactions: · Head of Sales· Customer Service Manager· Voyage Planner· External Customers· Trade System Manager Main responsibilities: · Build and maintain a financial viable trade through successfully targeted business acquisition and operational execution. Secondary responsibilities: · Pricing. · Budgeting, forecasting, pre-estimation and business analysis.· Market assessments. · Co-ordinate with Trade System Responsible for Tonnage positioning. · Co-ordinate with Trade Control Responsible for proper voyage reporting and cost control measures. · Ensure transhipments are performed with required control and executed as per plan.
