I am currently a Senior pursuing a BS/MS Accounting degree at the University of North Texas. I am passionate about building a career in public accounting with a particular interest in tax.This past summer, I worked in the finance department at Variosystems as an accounting intern. My primary role involved managing accounts payable, where I efficiently processed high volumes of invoices from various vendors using the SAP (ERP) system. I was responsible for ensuring timely and accurate entry of invoices and processing weekly payments, including checks, wire transfers, ACH, and virtual credit cards. Additionally, I assisted with accounts receivables, cash flows, expense reports, general ledgers, month-end and reconciliations. With over two years of experience in retail, I have honed my customer service skills. As a sales associate, I excelled in interpersonal communication, assisting customers, and managing organizational tasks in the WJM department. Additionally, I also assist with other departments including POC/Customer Service, Home and Kids, Shoes, and BOPUS (Buy Online, Pickup In-Store), ensuring smooth operations across the store.At UNT, I am actively involved in several organizations, including Beta Alpha Psi Honors Accounting Organization, the Vietnamese Student Organization, and the Green Brigade Marching Band, where I play the tuba. Fun fact: I have been playing the tuba for eight years, starting in middle school and continuing through high school and one year at UNT!I am excited to further develop my expertise in tax through my upcoming role as an incoming tax intern at the Forvis Mazar for Winter 2026. As an accounting student, my goal is to apply the knowledge I have gained throughout my academic journey to a professional setting!
