About Vladislav Dobrokhotov
My career can be seen as a series of remarkable serendipitous events, but the following stories showcase my ability to create successful businesses, expand my horizons, and pursue my dreams.In 2008, I discovered the potential of timber trading in China. Within 3 years, I had become one of the top timber suppliers in China, achieving impressive revenue growth from 90K to 1.8 million EUR. Despite sounding far-fetched, my ambition to supply timber to the Moon became a reality when I secured a new client, Lunawood, just two weeks after expressing the desire to a friend.As the owner of the timber company, I was one of the first members to join the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland. At the time, the Chamber was a small organisation with only 18 members and few events. I was commissioned to create a new website and put my business development skills to work. Four years later, under my management, the Chamber received the “Best Small Chamber of The Year” award and grew to 120 members, hosting notable events, including 2 Royal visits to Finland and working with the best British brands. I now frequently attend Royal Receptions and am thrilled to extend invitations to my fellow members.At one such event, the High Commissioners Banquet, I sat next to an alderman of the City of London and learnt about the City's many business opportunities and great causes, such as The Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch, supporting HM Armed Forces Veterans. Inspired, I started raising money in Finland. Two years later, I was invited to join the committee and, in 2022, organised the First International Satellite event for the LMBCL in Finland, raising £5,000 and adding to the total of £314,000. My goal is to take the Lunch to 20 other countries, increasing the number of veterans it supports. I am now a Citizen of The City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Marketors. I can often be seen in the City of London attending banquets at Mansion House and other Great Halls, securing business for my members and clients. Additionally, I can be found in one of the fourteen Open Spaces and Parks managed by the City of London Corporation in my capacity as an External Advisor to the Natural Environment Board.I am deeply dedicated to supporting veterans, nurturing young talent, and preserving nature, all of which are crucial for a sustainable and harmonious future.
