  Hello, my name is Doc Mac. My God-given purpose in life is to help women lose weight and feel great. In 1980 I opened a wellness center. Nine out of ten of my patients were women and nine out of ten of them wanted to lose weight. Then fifteen years ago my wife went into menopause. She gained 30 pounds and no matter what she did, she could not lose the weight. She then started having a sleeping disorder, suffered from anxiety, depression, and lost her interest in sex and being social. She went to her doctor and he told her she had to live with it. I referred her to an endocrinologist colleague who offered her psyche meds. She yelled at him that she was in menopause, not crazy! She eventually asked for my help. We both soon discovered that there really wasn't anyone helping menopausal women. We knew it was all about her hormones, so I went to the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine and took their courses and their test to become board certified in anti-aging medicine and passed. I combined my new-found knowledge in hormone therapy with my knowledge of nutrition and eventually developed what I call the HOPE Protocol.
