The Student Academic Success Office serves the needs of students who have just entered Xavier University of Louisiana and have demonstrated a need for support in adjusting to the demands of a college curriculum. The Student Success Academy will increase the odds of them completing that important first year of college and the chances of successfully completing their degree program. This office also serves to support students who delay their choice of major and enter the university focused on core curricular requirements before making their decision of a major to pursue. Worked in the development of compounds that inhibit platelet aggregation for the treatment of sepsis, compounds that reduce the toxicity associated with TNF, and tested the efficacy of compounds developed for the treatment of tumors.Our efforts resulted in several synthetics in each area which I discovered with the team through animal testing and in vitro enzyme assays.
