Lyricism CoachWeird City Hip Hop Festival: Rap Camp Sep 2014 - Sep 2014As part of the first ever, all Hip Hop music festival in Austin, 12-17 year old aspiring Hip Hop artists were invited to learn from experienced practitioners. I was contacted by the event organizer, Adam Protextor, to assist with teaching technical lyricism. I created a lesson plan and used my laptop and a large TV as somewhat of a digital whiteboard to visualize the complex processes of syllable and rhyme placement. Other artists taught storytelling in rhyme, breakdancing, beat production, DJing, and stage performance. I would love to do something like this again.

I constantly developed curriculum on a group and individual basis. My initial role was as an interventionist in 4th and 5th grade math. Eventually I helped all grade levels in math, reading, and science.I took the initiative to create two ACE after school programs for 3rd through 5th grade. One program taught computer programming and the other focused on logical thinking and problem solving.Over the summer, I was a 5th grade math teacher and leader of Boys' Club during which I served as a mentor to all K-8 boys in the summer school/camp program. -

Working from the Google office and with Google employees, an outreach plan was concocted and put into play. Party McBioware Dec 2010 - Dec 2010Edmonton, Alberta, CaBioWare is a game development company that celebrated its Austin office’s 5 year anniversary in conjunction with their holiday party in December of 2010. The party was held at The Westin Hotel and it was my job to get people to the dance floor and entertain them when they were there. I walked through the different areas of the party taking song requests and passing them along to the DJ. I even brought a few songs that went over quite well and got the people to interact and stay engaged. Again, BioWare is a game design company and the events coordinator said that I got more nerds to the dance floor than she’s ever seen. -
