From avowed white supremacist to nationally recognized thought leader in building racial unity - that's my remarkable story:In my earlier years, I served as the Grand Dragon of the Indiana KKK. But in 1978, a dramatic transformation occurred when I committed my life to Jesus Christ, renouncing racism and all ties to the Ku Klux Klan. I document this powerful journey in my award-winning book, “One Nation Under CURSE”.Today, I’m a sought-after speaker, educator, and bridge-builder between races. I’ve presented at the Congressional Gracism Forum on Racial Reconciliation at the U.S. Capital, been recognized at the National Prayer Breakfast, and received the "2021 Dr. Clarence B. Jones Wintertime Soldier Award" for my 40-plus years of promoting racial equity.With over 20 years as a university professor, including at Purdue University in Indiana and currently, at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where I teach public speaking and racial harmony courses, I strive to combine academic expertise with real-world experience. I’ve also served as a senior pastor in the Free Methodist Church, USA for 31 years and I currently serve on the pastoral staff at an historic Black church, Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bartow, Florida.When I’m not teaching or speaking, you might find me coaching TEDx speakers, judging debate contests, or working on my "R.A.C.E. Framework for Radically Reducing Racial Bias™️" which I introduced at TEDx Bradenton 2023. My long journey from hate to healing reminds us that “People can change, and changed people can change society” – we all have a role to play in building a more united world.I’ve taught thousands of people, of all races, how to Radically Reduce Racial Bias in their life.
