We are exploring questions about how and when to use technology and special learning spaces to enhance learning, as well as developing evidence-based approaches for understanding what kind of learning has taken place.I am currently collaborating with University of Toronto Engineering students to create a mobile, technologically rich classroom environment. We are scientifically validating each of the tools in the suite to determine its impact for learning and retention in courses within the Canadian Forces.I am collaborating with our research counterparts in New Zealand to evaluate current models for assessing skill competency, including a predictive model that would give the capacity to anticipate the competencies required for an as-of-yet un-invented technologies or processes.
