I selected, recruited, led and developed a team of field HSE Personnel and field lifting professionals, visited and audited operational rigs, and led accident investigations using TOP-SET methodology to determine root cause, analyse losses, propose viable solution and generate SMART recommendations to avoid recurrence.◼️ Led transformation of HSET standards to enable drilling to commence for contract to operate a fleet of land drilling rigs for a client in Oman, achieving TRIR and LTIR of 0.00, exceeding drilling targets ahead of AFE, saving client $7m in lost rig days in the first year of operation.◼️ Bridged KCA Deutag HSE SMS to client SMS, the first time any operation in the world successfully completed this bridging process. ◼️ Successfully nationalised team of 4 rigging / lifting professionals in Oman to meet country requirements. ◼️ Completed clients’ new IAT process for 5 land drilling rigs in Oman; first operation in the world to do so. Subsequently passed inspection with high score and minimal findings, leading ‘lessons learned’ process to reduce findings for each rig (from 126 for first rig to 16 for fifth). ◼️ Nominated and sat on Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) workgroup to develop national occupational standards for lifting operations for use in the Sultanate. ◼️ Worked with client Civil Engineers to develop lifting strategy for assembling rig in unstable desert location, with an anticipated cost saving of $28.5 million per well. Training / competence statistics for crews accredited by ECITB with training statistics of 100% achieved. ◼️ Successfully completed recruitment/onboarding process in a volatile region recovering from recent civil war, enabling a drilling project with an oil major to commence on time, with significant savings on training costs.◼️ Supported recovery and removal of 3 high-value ($15m) assets from Libya during civil war, ensuring all 3 left the country before further conflict ensued.◼️ Oversaw project to ensure consistency of global SMS operations, driving down TRIR year-on-year from 1.06 in 2006 to 0.35 in 2014.
