Serve as operations manager for all activities on oil rig. Oversaw a multi-million dollar operation that runs 24-7.Supervise all drilling activities, including rig personnel, logistics, location, and compliance with OSHA regulations. Track well performance; oversee invoicing, delivery tickets, well costs, and cost planning. Create and distribute morning and afternoon reports to operating company. Use extensive knowledge of drilling rigs to keep rig up and running, and to address repair issues so rig will be back in service quickly.Always finished project under budget or AFE, and have a record with no hospitalized injuries.

Built company from the ground up, starting with one truck and one steam cleaner. Oversaw all daily operations.Hired personnel and performed HR functions, and wrote and developed safety manual.Within first month of operations we invoiced out $50K, and by 6 months doing $350K of invoicing out a month.Confirmed that all employees had necessary Personal Protective Equipment before going on jobs. Sold company services, handled all sales calls, and scheduled and invoiced jobs. Tracked costs and inventory and determined profit margins. Developed new types of centralizers to be installed on each well, and developed new styles of casing shoes.Re-developed a new design of tubolator working with Waples Machine shop to meet with the long lateral wells that EOG was drilling at the time.

Oversaw all aspects of operations in 4 different work centers, and employed over 600 personnel in my division.All 5 work centers together generated over $25 million a month. Improved and improvised on cost control to raise profit margins.Tracked each work center's daily costs and amounts invoiced daily.Revised safety procedures and implemented cost control spending by reducing operating costs.Implemented new safety rules and assured compliance with all governing regulations from the states of Texas and Louisiana.Implemented new regulations on cost controls.Reviewed and inspected accident cases.Revised safety policies and implementation of new rules, as necessary. Oversaw drug testing after accidents and random drug testing. Worked in Shekou, China on a 23 well tie-back and completion for Ajip / Chevron / Texaco joint overseas group.Prepared yard by securing equipment and tools, bringing them through customs, and installing all equipment for project. Completed tasks for tie-backs and well completion and sent all required equipment out to rig in consultation with project engineers.Supervised assembly of each casing tie-back string and connection, accounting for torque. Inspected all casing joints for thread damage and dents. Assured that all thread and tie-back connection protectors were installed correctly.Verified rig measurements, pipe sizes and grades, thread types, and casing and completion strings with company representatives.Reviewed manifest with company representatives and engineers to make sure all measurements matched and all necessary equipment had been acquired and listed. Oversaw loading of equipment onto vessel for delivery.
