Since graduating from a technical marine high school in 2017, I have accumulated diverse experiences in the maritime industry. My initial foray involved working as an ordinary seaman in the yacht sector during summer breaks, which sparked my interest in the field. While pursuing my degree at Istanbul Technical University, I sought to broaden my expertise by gaining two months of shipyard experience. After earning my bachelor's degree in June 2023, I temporarily worked as a lifeguard in the U.S. to gain new perspectives. Returning to the maritime industry, I joined Scorpio Tankers as a deck cadet in 2022 and, from January to June 2024, served as a third officer. In this role, I was responsible for all mooring operations at aft stations, managed life-saving and fire-fighting equipment, and watchkeeping at bridge and cargo control operations. I consistently supported the chief officer as needed and continuously sought to enhance my skills in navigation and cargo handling. Passionate about the industry, I am eager to further develop my expertise while also pursuing my interests in water sports.
