I’ve been active as a music professional, music educator, researcher, consultant, writer, and public speaker. I compose, and produce music, and I play drums. I've played with They Might Be Giants, XTC, Freedy Johnston, and Ben Folds. In the past, I've played drums at other Broadway productions such as RENT, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Times They Are A-Changin'. Before diving into the world of K-12 education, I was a full time musician, playing drums and doing some touring. Educational LeadershipI recently earned my doctorate in educational leadership from Manhattanville College. My dissertation was a quantitative, national study that examined the perceptions of K-12 music educators as they weave technology into their instruction.
