As an English teacher at GongTeo English Academy, I had the valuable experience of instructing Elementary and Middle school students in basic English language skills. Teaching students significantly younger than myself was a great opportunity to develop my ability to connect with and inspire young learners.Beyond teaching the students, I forged meaningful bonds with my students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Additionally, I engaged in frequent conversations with the academy's head, gaining insights into its operations and the development of educational content for children. As a motivated individual with a strong ambition for the future, this experience has equipped me with knowledge that could be beneficial if I were to work in a company involved in educational content development or pursue my own educational ventures.

As a shoe seller at ALDO Shoes, I gained valuable experience selling shoes to a diverse customer base, mainly to individuals who were older than myself. I encountered and effectively managed conflicts with unsatisfied customers with products or services that were provided, which improved my customer service skills.Additionally, I took an interest in financial aspects, ensuring accuracy in the day's sales and profits during closing procedures. These experiences deepened my understanding of retail, customer service, and financial management, contributing to my professional growth.

I had the privilege of tutoring a high school student in preparation for the TOEFL English Proficiency Test. Initially, our sessions were in-person when we were both in Korea. However, after I began attending university in the United States, we continued our tutoring sessions via Skype and Zoom.When we began, the student scored below 20 out of 120 on the TOEFL. Over the course of our tutoring sessions, I diligently prepared customized content and selected textbooks to guide her learning journey. Through patience and tailored instruction, I witnessed her remarkable progress as she achieved a TOEFL score exceeding 90 by the time our tutoring concluded.This experience not only allowed me to witness the gradual growth of a dedicated student but also helped me cultivate greater patience, and enhance my own English skills. It was a rewarding opportunity that reinforced my commitment to both teaching and continuous self-improvement.
