I have been in the Long-Term Care industry for the majority of my nursing career. I have experience in being a DON in LTC, working in home health and being a case manager at the VNA Hospice. I have worked with pain management for the terminally ill and worked with end-stage AIDS patients.I currently am the Infection Preventionist Consultant for the Southern California region of PACS. I consult for Renew and several other LTCFs as well.I worked with a team of Infection Control experts, 2012-13, to write and revise the APIC Infection Control Manual for LTCF.I am part of the core faculty that is working with the California Dept of Public Health and CAHF as well as Licensing and Certification to create and present an intense training class for IPs in LTC.I received the CALTCM Excellence in Education Award in 2023I am a public speaker on Infection Control and have presented for various organizations throughout the country.
