As an NIMH National Research Service Award (NRSA) Postdoctoral Fellow, I collaborated with a team of experienced researchers to assess and improve the implementation of intimate partner violence screening guidelines in HIV treatment settings in Uganda. I also led and supported the development of proposals, peer-reviewed manuscripts and study protocols for global health research projects.

In this role delivered on-site and remote trainings on conducting trauma-informed intimate partner violence research and evaluating costs associated with public health interventions. Additionally, I supported the development, execution and results dissemination for HIV-related programs.

As Population Health instructor, I developed and delivered course content which introduced 200+ students to population health as well as strategies to address health disparities. Additionally, I managed and provided mentorship to 6 teaching assistants.

At VillageReach, I collaborated with diverse teams to design, implement and assess the performance of optimized systems to support improved health commodity distribution. Additionally, I led and supported assessments of immunization supply chain costs. In this role, I grew my technical expertise in health economics and health systems strengthening with an emphasis on resource-constrained settings. I supported pragmatic research and results dissemination in diverse fora (e.g., national and global conferences, peer-reviewed manuscripts and blog posts).

As a research assistant at VillageReach, I supported the development, interpretation and presentation of immunization supply chain cost implementations and evaluations. I also conducted literature reviews and supported performance evaluations with the ultimate goal of improving supply chain performance in resource-constrained settings.

As a research assistant at the Indigenous Wellness Research Institute, I assisted with grant renewal and manuscript submission to peer reviewed journals. I also worked in collaboration with University go Washington-based collaborators as well as partners at affiliate Creating Campus Change Tribal Colleges and Universities.

In this role I worked closely with head and neck cancer surgeons to identify predictors of cancer recurrence & morbidity. In addition, I supported manuscript development and grew my expertise on data management, statistical methods, clinical research and healthcare.
