As the Complex Manager at Bunnings Canberra Airport, I've had the privilege of coaching and developing both leaders and team members to achieve strategic outcomes. Each day, I'm fueled by the thrill of seeing my team members evolve and the store transform.My foundational experience in the field of education has honed my soft skills in communication, leadership, and development. But it was during my days at Bunnings, initially as a team member, that my passion for big-box retail leadership was ignited. Over the years, I've journeyed through roles, evolving from a team member to a future leader then a coordinator at the Wagga Wagga warehouse. I then moved to the ACT as an operations manager at the Belconnen warehouse. Now, I proudly lead as the complex manager of the ACT's Canberra Airport Warehouse.Some of my proudest professional milestones include leading merch teams on new store setups at Young and Albury, as well as architecting strategic workforce optimisation processes for our region. My core expertise lies in team development and strategic planning, but I'm equally enthusiastic about creating customer-centric experiences. As retail evolves in this omni-channel era, I'm committed to ensuring that Bunnings Belconnen remains at the forefront, delivering seamless in-store and online experiences to our customers. I firmly believe in the principles of leadership, open communication, and continuous development.Outside of work, my partner and I find solace in the great outdoors, camping, 4WDing and hiking to various natural wonders. These moments of connection with nature not only rejuvenate me but also offer fresh perspectives that I often bring back to my leadership role.My educational background comprises a Bachelor of Education, supplemented with a Diploma in Leadership & Management and the Bunnings Management Program.Always keen to connect with fellow retail enthusiasts, leaders, and anyone with a passion for team growth and strategic evolution.
