About Dom Hall
I am passionate about the outdoors and the natural world and over the last 15 years have worked around the world setting up a wide range of expeditions, volunteer conservation and science research projects. I worked for a number of years as a freelance trainer and expedition leader before in 2008 starting my own business, Fieldskills, with two colleagues. We ran expeditions out to Borneo and specialised in safety training and consultancy, supporting a range of clients from schools and universities to blue chip businesses and charities. We then sold the UK element of Fieldskills to Training Expertise where I took on a role as business manager of this new joint business, again travelling extensively and working increasingly in designing new courses, safety consultancy for blue chip companies as well as overseeing the development and management of Training Expertise. My fascination with the challenges facing the planet and passion for the importance of the natural world, led me to the Environmental Technology masters at Imperial College, a unique MSc course considering the range of challenges we face in terms of ecological management, environmental economics and policy, law and governance and the application of these skills in finding multi-disciplinary solutions. From there I moved to work TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) in Scotland. Having led a number of projects and teams there I am now the Assistant Operations Director having management oversight of our Scotland projects as well as working on national strategic programmes - in particular working on our impact measurement and improvement project.Specialties: business management, communication, environmental policy, volunteer management, natural health service, remote areas, safety, training, consultancy, first aid
Listed skills include Training, Leadership, Management, Coaching, and 28 others.
