As a Supplier Quality Engineer during the development phase of the new Opel Grandland, I specialized in Supplier Quality Management with a focus on ensuring component excellence. My role involved conducting detailed checks of the physical condition of parts to ensure they met design and quality standards. I collaborated closely with suppliers through regular meetings to address quality concerns and implement improvement strategies. Initially, my responsibilities were focused on the cockpit area, but as the project progressed, I took on oversight of all areas of the vehicle.I gained hands-on experience with the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, contributing to the development and execution of robust quality plans. I was actively involved in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), where I reviewed and approved PCP and RCM documents to verify supplier conformity. Additionally, I assessed Appearance Approval Sheets (AAR) and Part Submission Warrants (PSW) to ensure compliance with quality standards.My role required managing and resolving quality issues, including creating and handling Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) in PLM systems. By working closely with internal teams and suppliers, I contributed to the successful launch of a high-quality vehicle. This experience enhanced my expertise in quality assurance, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration, laying a strong foundation for delivering excellence in automotive development projects.
