The Executive Officer provides high-level executive and secretariat support to the Executive Director and advises on human resource and financial strategies to meet the Directorates operational objectives.• Manage a team in the preparation, management and review of high-level communications and correspondence including briefings, reports, submissions and other documentation.• Build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse range of key internal and external stakeholders, to act as the first point of contact for communication with the Executive Director. • Prioritise the flow of communication between stakeholders and the Executive Director to ensure critical information is exchanged on time with adherence to Departmental regulatory standards.• Liaise with ministerial staff and senior Departmental officers to ensure that submissions and briefings are developed to a high standard and meet associated management requirements. • Establish and maintain constructive relationships with key business partners in Finance, Human Resources and Corporate Communications to enable appropriate advice to be provided to support the core business needs of the Directorate• Provide issues management and support to the Directorate in responding to emerging issues to ensure resolution with minimal risk to the organisation, while maintaining the efficient and effective operation of the Executive Office• Lead the team in providing high quality support to the Executive Director and in the assessment and evaluation of administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency.• Lead projects, at the direction of the Executive Director, to support the achievement of organisation level strategic and operational objectives.
