Key achievements at Brisbane Boys’ College including preparing members for the 2018 Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Scottish Pipe Band Championships, the World Pipe Band Championships, and students achieving 1st and 2nd place in the National Championships, as well as several placings in Scotland. In addition to my Advanced Class, my Junior Class achieved 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the first Junior State Championships in Australia.

Key achievements at the School include preparing the only primary school invited into the Brisbane City ANZAC Day Parade and having the largest drum majors program in the country, with all members consistently placing in competitions. I was promoted to this role after my previous supervisor left the School. In this role, I was responsible for managing the Fife Band's operations, supervising practices, working in conjunction with the Classroom Music Teacher and the Instrumental Music Teacher to ensure that their deliverables were completed, event logistics and liaison, risk assessments, permission slips, preparing budget submissions, teaching Drumming, and continue teaching the band's Drum Majors.

• Working closely with other Functional Areas in planning for services deliverable to the Games Family, before managing venue protocol-related issues in the lead up to and during the Commonwealth Games, including protocol arrangements for the Commonwealth Games Village and other venues• Responsible for the experience dignitaries have while visiting the Commonwealth Games Village, from the planning and advance visits stage, to liaising with the dignitaries’ staff pre-visit, to the visit and tour of the Commonwealth Games Village itself. • Working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful visits • Work collaboratively to develop and implement Protocol volunteer staff trainingKey achievements include welcoming dignitaries from all around the world, including Heads of State, Heads of Government, the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, and HRH The Earl of Wessex.

Duties include updating the International Relations Handbook with recent and relevant information, researching extensive protocol advice and introductions to the regions in which we have partners, updating City of Gold Coast’s website to reflect these changes; and identifying how the City can create greater economic benefit from our active Sister City relationships.
