As a budget unit office assistant, I monitored over 300 club budgets to identify potential problems, overdrafts, approve club events (including co-sponsorships and contingencies), and support timely biannual budget approval. Additionally, I processed data entries to edit budget adjustment requests and reconciled financial information while maintaining general administrative tasks around the office.

NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business mission ties directly to Stern’s vision of developing people and ideas that will transform 21st-century problems into opportunities to create value for business and society. I help implement this vision by maintaining the website, organizing/planning events, and taking care of general office duties. I work closely with the directors and researchers on the team for event planning. Events I've contributed to include Lunch and Learns with JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs, the CSB Annual Practice Forum featuring speakers from various corporations, and successful networking events at the business school.

I and two colleagues received a $5,000 research grant to design and conduct a year-long environmental field and laboratory research project. The project focused on cultural eutrophication in a local tributary and its detrimental effects to the overall health of ecosystems, including the reduction of oxygen content and biodiversity in affected bodies of water. We hypothesized that the dairy farm located along the tributary (Fry Brook) negatively impacts the water quality of Fry Brook through eutrophication and therefore reduces the benthic macroinvertebrate biodiversity downstream. We also predicted that the dairy farm is causing the water downstream to undergo eutrophication, which negatively impacts benthic macroinvertebrate biodiversity. Our results supported this hypothesis. We won first place overall at our state Science Fair and various other category-specific first-place awards.

As an intern, I worked with the Creative Director to photograph and edit products and apparel for the marketplace website, as well as worked with customers to implement their vision into the products they ordered. I organized lighting equipment and sets, handled all Lightroom and Photoshop edits, and worked closely with the board of directors to determine which products would be featured and used to promote the company.
