Hello, my name is Dominic Prato, and I am a recent graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. My educational journey has provided me with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, and I have honed my expertise in utilizing software tools such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, and Python to solve complex engineering problems. I'm particularly enthusiastic about thermal and fluid sciences and look forward to applying this passion to real-world projects.Currently, I am working as a professional mechanical engineer at Muncy Industries, where I work diligently to optimize productivity in the company and within my team.My current duties involve, but are not limited to, optimizing efficiency of current and future designs using knowledge of mechanical design along with finite element analysis, applying my experience with metallurgy and CNC machining to provide direction to machine shop employees who may need clarification, testing products which are soon to be on the market using both destructive and non-destructive analysis, and designing as well as quoting custom parts for customers whose needs may not be satisfied with a standard part.All in all, I am an enthusiastic and passionate individual who is driven to thrive in my field and share my experience along the way.
