As a passionate advocator for innovation driven change in education, I founded Fidjit a digital tool designed to support schools in creating an accessible education for all. Most recently, this journey saw me become a Big Education Challenge Finalist where I gained incredible support and stimulating contacts dedicated to the evolution of education. My passion for education, and in particular SEND, stems from my experience as a former SEND Teaching Assistant. This professional experience, combined with my personal experience of SEND, has inspired my dedication and ambition of creating a supportive education which is a facilitator. In turn, this will reduce the mental health challenges student’s face. Following my graduation from Leeds Beckett University, I became a product manager for a startup organisation achieving data orchestration in healthcare. I project managed an exciting project with achieved greater mental health support for children and young people. My range of work experience has made me a well-rounded individual who has acquired many transferable skills. I am empathetic, analytical, and confident. These are qualities which I wish to continue developing in my next adventure. In 2016 my travels with First Aid Africa took my teaching experience and skillset to a new level. I learned how to teach out of a conventional setting. This challenge meant an opportunity to engage and inspire students through using innovative approaches.
