Been a long run, some bad but mostly good. Retired and doing my thing. I have really enjoyed my career and have worked and met a lot of really good people. Just a few bad apples and they know who they are and wish them what goes around comes around.

Consulting in the manufacturing area including plant layouts, lean/six sigma applications, purchasing, warehousing and all areas of opportunity to improve efficiency, reduce inventory, increase cash flow and improve profit margins.

Managed purchasing, inventory control, production, maintenance, warehouse and distribution, lean manufacturing applications, quallity control and industrial engineering. Reorganized 180 employees in a union facility with emphasis on high volume machining, fabrication, sub and final assembly operations. Increased profit margins 30% with an overall increase of ROI from 12% to 65%.

Managed all manufacturing departments, quality control, and warehouse and distribution. Increased manufacturing efficency 25% while increasing overall quality and reduced inventory by implementing JIT scheduling.

Managed the planning and implementation involved in the start up of a new company. Completion was $50,000 under budget and 30 days ahead of schedule. Increase sales from $1.5 million to $3 million dollars in the second year of business.

A 12 million dollar distribution and manufacturing company specializing in injection molding, extrusion and custom fabrication of steel and plastic store fixtures. Directed the company in repositioning itself from a very weak organization to a very competitive and respected business. Increased sales from $2.7 million dollars in 1994 to $12 million dollars in 1999 by focusing on becoming more competitive and expanding on the market share. Improved efficiency 25% using lean applications, delivered quality products and shipped 98% of customer orders on time.

Managed the complete production, sub assembly / final assembly and quality of the Thrust Structure and Nose Cone Components for the Atlas I, II and IIAS Launch Vehicles. Reduced costs 7% utilizing continuous process improvements, coordinated TQM and SPC programs and was appointed Team Leader in achieving ISO 9000 certification and MRP II Class A status.
