Don now focuses on designing and delivering in-company training in all aspects of Survey Research - from The Basics (like project design, questionnaire development and stats & sampling) - through Advanced Analytics (such as Conjoint and Segmentation Analyses) - to the all important skill sets of Interpretation and Reporting. Using a work-shop type approach, Don has lifted the veils of incomprehension for both trainees and experienced professionals alike.An Economist by training, Don has over 35 years experience in the market research industry, beginning his career as a graduate trainee with Unilever in the ‘specialist market research division’ that was to become Research International. At R.I. he developed his interest in advanced analytical techniques, being in on the early days of consumer modelling and Conjoint Analysis development. During his 3 year stint with R.I.'s Dutch agency, based in Rotterdam, he extended his research expertise, learning how to conduct international research without losing the will to live. Don has since been M.D. of IRB, MRSL and the E18 division of Harris Interactive Inc, before setting up his own agency – QED Research & Consultancy Ltd – auspiciously founded on Independence Day in 2003. Don is a Fellow of the Market Research Society and is an active and enthusiastic supporter of all aspects of Market Research Training & Development, running courses at the MRS as well as a wide variety of 'bespoke' in-house training programmes for both commercial and public organisations.
