As a Professional Learning Coach, I mentor over a dozen teachers on any given year. Together, we determine what skills and knowledge is needed to grow the teacher's professional practice in order to improve student learning. Using the Danielson Framework as a common language, we design and create lessons, debrief observed lessons, brainstorm ways to best respond to parent and student inquiries, and discuss ways to best navigate the workplace in order to develop professionally.

I began my Varsity soccer coaching career at Skyline in 1997 as Head Coach of the Men's program. In the years since then, we have won five KingCo Titles (including a stretch of three straight) and have had two appearances in the State Finals. In 2004, I took over as Head Coach of the Women's program. In the next 15 years, we have managed to win nine KingCo Titles (including a stretch of five straight) and have won five State Titles - '08, '09, '11, '12, '18.

The first 24+ years of my teaching experience were at Issaquah High School (2 years) and at Skyline High School (22 years) where I taught all levels of World, European, and American Studies classes in the Humanities department. I also taught IB Theory of Knowledge, Spanish 1, Guided Studies, and had a brief stint in Theatre Tech. When Skyline opened in 1997, I began coaching Men's Soccer and have continued through the present year.
