Provided mentoring and training to system test and field users.Created Perl based automated testing system for the XML diagnostic analysis application to ensure compliance to design requirements, feature functionality and software defect correction. Wrote test plans, created test cases, performed application testing and assisted developers with defect correction. Wrote requirements specification and created a tool to simulate binary CDMA system logs and provide a means of encoding CDMA system messages (IS-95, IS-2000, etc) into test logs for initial application development. Integrated CM functions, application build makefile’s and automated testing to minimize release cycle overhead, execute using a common Clearcase view, and provide metrics for quality improvement tracking. Developed a suite of Perl based applications for post processing and analysis of CDMA system diagnostic data. Components of this suite provided a means by which test and field engineers distilled data from multiple sources (mobile CAIT logs and BSC/RBS system logs) into a form useable for problem correction and customer system optimization efforts. Led team tasked with the initial installation and rollout of the Rational Distributed Defect Tracking System (DDTS, forerunner to ClearQuest). Team received a special recognition award for a job well done.

Led team responsible for all aspects of the UNIX based TestExpert automated test management system. This GUI based application was used daily by 100+ test engineers and used an Oracle database for storage of test cases and test results. Developed and enhanced the application using Perl and shell programs to better fit with company testing processes and methodologies. Installed TestExpert application updates and modified tool customization scripts when required. Worked with the TestExpert tool vendor and influenced feature development of the application.Integrated the TestExpert application with Clearcase, PVCS VM, DDTS defect tracking, and RequisitePro requirements systems. Created automated daily HTML formatted test reports that were published on the company intranet and used in daily review meetings. Worked on a daily basis with the user community to resolve issues, automate tests, provide training and support the product testing effort.Lead transition of TestExpert automated test management system during division transfer from Qualcomm to Ericsson. Met requirement of minimal disruption to users during time critical product testing period.
