Welcome to my linked in profile. I’ve worked in electronics manufacturing for over 30 years starting at Universal Instruments in 1984. My primary focus has always been on the equipment side. At Universal Instruments I started on the bench building subassemblies for the PTH and SMT machines.I started at US Assemblies in Halstead, PA next. Starting first at machine maintenance in the PTH assembly area. Eventually taking over as Department Manager. Instrumental in reducing setup and runtimes and increasing machine utilization with proper maintenance and product flow into the department.Eastern Electronics offered me a position to perform machine rebuilds. Machines were stripped to the frame cleaned and painted. Wiring harnesses repaired and tested. Castings repaired and checked for accuracy. Subassemblies rebuilt to factory standards. I’d travel with the machine to customers location and perform installation and training. Would also do service calls for machines down or for scheduled maintenance.I started Alpha 1 Technologies, LLC. Buying and Selling used SMT/PTH equipment. My focus was and still is providing a quality product. We have the capabilities to fully remanufacture equipment. We’ve installed machines all over the United States, China, Malaysia and Mexico. We offer maintenance contracts for Universal Instruments equipment. We also do low volume contract assembly work. With both PTH and SMT capabilities. We’ve added new machines to our equipment offerings. We selected our vendors based on quality and support.
