Initially employed as a representative of a particular talent pool utilising maturity & a desire to learn as much as possible with regard to an advanced client brief , I have found this work to be a perfect chance to learn new skills based on each clients varied Audition requirements .This has much in common with my previous experience in Account management Client direction, combining the common themes of being open to the clients brief & applying the skills of being engaging , accessible and most importantly, relevant to the brief in the most convincing manner. SilverFox have taught me the value of being open to a wide range of briefs , and bringing to each Audition a sense of style, combined with the vital foundation of correct deportment , based on the clients needs .I have been able to successfully bring these skills to bear on a wide range of applications , from actual Advertising campaigns successfully completed , to general dealings with business associates through to my B&B Guests - the results have been superb , being able to provide accessible, approachable, solutions to many situations based on pragmatic , achievable solutions .The range of work is impressive , from Investment Banks, to Motorhome companies , & many others.I stay as fit as possible , really enjoying a wide , ever-changing range of exercise, including Pilates , RPM spin classes & recently, surfski paddling on a regular basis out on Auckland Harbour .I think this is a good match with Silverfox as there is a mutual commitment to stay in as good condition as possible .

Signage & Graphics Specialist

Starting 2006 Ross Duffus, Ben Vogt & myself became Juggernaut Graphics.Entering a very different market from 1997 with several competitors, we knew we needed to produce at the very highest level.We tested this by entering the Grande Format section of pride in print awards in 2007 - the gold medal told us we were on the right track-and we've been testing it ever since.Confident the skill sets we could bring to bear would achieve a significant point of difference, we proceeded to build the business to the point where it is today, with 5 digital printers & 20 staff. Along the way we have been able to establish ourselves as a supplier of grande format print that has no equal in price,quality or service. It is a special feeling to be involved in a company that can bring to bear the many years of experience & expertise we have at Juggernaut.

I was initially introduced to Omnigraphics while working on a digital print billboard campaign for Signing On.Until this time -1997 the only options for large format digital print were the hugely expensive 3M scotch print or the poor resolution MMT product out of Australia. Neither was a viable option so when I heard about a company printing Grand Format in NZ I quickly contacted them .Started by a screen printing company based in Cape Town ,they had set up in Auckland after correctly observing Great outdoor advertising potential here.While the initial project had some hiccups ,I was impressed enough to see the technologies potential if it could be successfully marketed to Ad Agencies.This had some challenges, the low resolution (18dpi) - meant small type & logo's were problematic as they were not legible enough, and file management for grande format was also still in its infancy. I was offered, and accepted the production managers job at Omnigraphics and while major clients I had dealt with for years were skeptical - they were also keen to support a NZ owned company intent on changing the billboard printing market. Through hard work , application of signage elements to solve legibility issues & the support of advertisers ,the crew at Omnigraphics ( including my current business partners Ross Duffus & Ben Vogt) began to improve our market share ,then ultimately dominate that market. A change of ownership brought drastic changes to the company .As a shareholder and account manager, my personal investment had been hard earned & highly valued. When changes in values such as quality & leadership began to impact on my clients, I knew I had to make a change, resigning to start up a company who could achieve & maintain the highest standards without compromise

This was a transitional period when traditional sign writing was superseded by computer cut & digital graphics. I was priviledged to work on such projects as the Team NZ black boats who won the America's cup in San Diego including the hull,mainsail & spinnaker graphics.Working for large advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Colenso & DDB introduced billboards into Signing On's Repartoir.Some amazing projects were successfully produced including Saatchi's Air NZ "Birds" and Lion Red "Like a Fire Engine" (hand written by brush) . around this time the first digitally printed billboards were appearing , notably from DDB with McDonalds on both billboard site & Truck sides .This was an exciting & incredibly challenging period in the signage industry & I am immensely proud of the work which came out of Signing On. I was lucky enough to work with a great collection of talented & clever people - most of whom I am pleased to say, I still deal with on a regular basis.
