I regularly developed, prepared and conducted presentations, FEMA ICS trainings, situational table-tops, and ongoing training for both existing and new team members. I assisted in developing and preparing a wide variety of the programs operational documents including a re-write of the S/TCERT By-Laws and SOP’s. As part of my duties I represented the S/T CERT team at the counties monthly Citizen Corps Council meetings. As the organizations PIO I served as the primary contact with the public when recruiting team membership, presenting trainings, and general organization information. As a member of the S/TCERT I regularly participated in call outs to assist the emergency services professionals including a wide variety of direct and indirect support. I assisted in the CERT program’s public relations, public information outreach via newspaper ads, radio spots, and administration of the S/TCERT face book page. I conducted numerous and ongoing public presentations and promotions of CERT information to the general public to stimulate interest in community and individual disaster preparedness and team membership. In general normal duties included recruiting, instructing and training a stable group of knowledgeable and experienced volunteers to serve as the backbone for volunteer emergency services to and for the Snowflake/Taylor Arizona communities.

In addition I also served as the institutions International Students Services and compliance officer/registrar. This entailed all aspects of international student registration and SEVIS data entry and operations. Typical daily duties included working with a demographically and ethnically diverse population of students, administrators, faculty, staff, and the general public. With a solid Human Resource background, I provided progressive PR, recruiting, advising, and management techniques that led to increased student success, retention, and completion. My normal duties also included , but not limited to, Public Outreach, Student Recruitment, Admissions, Student Advisement and data entry within the JENZABAR CX student information system, Financial Aid, Testing Services, Transfer Services, and of course Community Outreach.
