I returned to the financial services field after over 23 years, as an agent/owner for American Family. Here, I learned the strengths and weaknesses of the captive agency model, and leaned in heavily to the opportunity presented to me for nearly 5 years. I relished the relationships and the trust afforded me by clients young and old, existing and new. However, I grew disenchanted with the approach of the company. and the many limitations with the captive agency model.

Stoughton School District

District Student Learning Administrator, High School Administrator and Elementary School Administrator for the Stoughton Area School District. Created and lead professional development for all district staff, including a 68 person kick-off training entitled, The Power of Personalized Learning and Nurturing a Culture of Creativity. Implemented new initiatives districtwide focused on personalized learning, technology, Makerspaces, PLCs, Safe Schools, and Next Generation Learning. Led Kegonsa Elementary as Principal, a school of 405 students through collaborative and character-inspired leadership.

Greater Milwaukee Area

Created and taught two courses, Rekindle the PASSION to Teach and Fantastic Lessons from Fabulous Lives. A sample of topics from Rekindle include: engagement, variety in the classroom, humor, leadership, passion, and organization. In the course, Fantastic Lessons, students' studied John C. Maxwell's book, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, and immersed themselves in biographies of influential leaders.

Dodgeville

Conducted and completed a 4K-8 literacy adoption process, which included new resources for 3 different levels (4K, K-5, 6-8). Created and implemented a new RTI and PST process with resources and training. Coordinated and led district wide professional development time: Backwards Design, visual tools, learning targets, technology integration, specialization. Brought National Blue Ribbon School status, and RTI & PBIS School of Merit status to the district.

Waukesha

Led a K-6/K-5 elementary school. Introduced TRIBES, Second Step, FASTT Math, Daybooks, TCI, Inquiry Circles, assemblies. Helped train and develop many educational leaders and administrators. Created a flex schedule and multiage classrooms based upon student MAP RIT scores and personalized learning.

Greater Milwaukee Area

Designed a course entitled, A Beacon of Hope - a course that highlighted eight key attributes of highly effective and successful educators. The course was taught as part of Viterbo's Master's Degree program in education.

Depere

Coordinated and implemented a comprehensive school safety plan. Formed a mentor/mentee group, Heritage Helping Hands, for over 50 children. Created the first ever, Heritage Enrichment Nights - 3 nights of high interest classes and events. Designed, assisted, and taught during a science week. Evaluated all staff.
