Project planning and oversight including staffing requirements, material requirements, Health and Safety (Hazard identification and conducting risk assessments), assessing skills and identifying training needs for long and short term (one off) projects.In addition, attending to the administration requirements of a Department of Social Protection (DSP) programme. Liaising with statutory agencies, community and voluntary groups and private enterprise in the delivery of projects and programmes.

Doneraile Co. Cork

Coordinator/Trainer on an Antique Furniture Restoration training course (Fetac Level 5) for Ballyhoura Development, FAS and Doneraile Development Association.

As supervisor of the RSS I led a team of 24 people who worked on long and short term projects. These projects covered many areas such as tourism (walking and mountain bike trail development), community (Community facility upgrades and maintenance), Heritage (traditional stone wall building). These projects often required identifying and consulting with all stakeholders, planning (resource planning and costing), Health and safety assessments, supervision and monitoring, completion, snagging and handover.

As Foreman with Cedarlan I worked with a team of up to 30 people ranging from highly skilled tradesmen to entry level apprentices and general operatives. my role was to ensure that all works were progressing as planned and deal with any workshop issues as they arose. To supply materials to the site crews as requested and to deal with clients. I was responsible for planned preventative maintenance, health and safety (in consultation with the safety officer), staffing, training and rotation of apprentices through the various departments. In addition I was responsible for stock control, quality control, scheduling. All of this was done with the assistance of a very supportive team of coworkers and management at Cedarlan.
