Engineer IVAnalog PCB design: Signal conditioning of signals from "Gamma Cameras".Digital PCB design: Up to 12 layer PCB boards including analog conditioning, FPGA and high speed communications.Embedded programming: Multi-tasking software on Arm devices including processors configured within the FPGA and external processors, including dual processors.Desktop programming: C++ for operator interface and data-storage on high-performance desktops.MicrosoftContract Engineer on initial versions of Xbox 360 and Zune.Testing support in Redmond and on-site at multiple production sites in China for Xbox 360.Trouble-shooting and repair of test fixtures supplied by external suppliers.Production of custom PCBs to allow use of standard devices in non-standard ways during testing.Established test procedure for Video display and audio output of Zune devices.Poly Services, Contract Engineering. Some sample projects include:Boeing Development Center (Boeing DC): Project Engineer for their Thru-Transmission Ultrasonic (TTU) which used an array of laminar water jets to pass ultrasonic signals through composite airplane parts to verify proper bonding of the layers. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) support platform, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) for position the test carriage, and Micro-stepping stepper motor controllers for position control of the ultrasonic ports.K2: If you've ever used a K2 ski, you probably used a ski with a precisely shaped wooden core produce by one of my machines. Includes standard Siemens, Fanuc and Allen Bradley controllers. The two highest performing machines were controlled by a custom system I developed around a Delta-Tau controller board. Also cores for Volant and several Snow-Board companies.Ederer Crane: Developed instrumentation for the crane that was used at Edwards Air Force Base to lift the Space Shuttle when it was placed or removed from the custom 747 for testing and transport.Lechenby: Control hardware for elevated platform used to clean the interior of the penstocks at the Grand Coolie Dam.Army Corps of Engineers: Consultant on initial versions of the Removable Spillway Weirs, first installed at Lower Granite Dam on the Columbia River.ActekEmbedded Software. Software rewrite for real-time control of DC drives used in industrial applications. Original software was written in Forth which was outdated and performing poorly. My C++ rewrite resulted in a superior system using less memory resources.
