In Touch Ministries

Responsible for writing monthly program descriptions of the In Touch program for TV Guide Canada and FYI Television. Also responsible for editing TV program scripts that accompanied our weekly international TV broadcasts. I also utilized my voice talent capabilities for radio spots as needed by the ministry. Responsible for shipping our weekly broadcast program to radio &TV affiliates throughout the US and Canada as well international stations around the world. Other duties included maintaining and updating our database of all TV and radio stations, coordinating special shipments for stations as well as liaison duties with them and our outside media agency.

Wrote a 200-word monthly advertorial column, product descriptions and ad copy for our Spring & Christmas catalogues.Responsible for writing all promotional copy for the marketing department including brochures, product inserts, books, and other collateral pieces. Also responsible for writing 30-second promotional spots for radio affiliates. Edited our ITM Update newsletter and Dr. Stanley's Life Principles Notes, a synopsis of his weekly sermons for grammar, punctuation, and style. Provided voice over talent for radio promotions as needed.

Responsibilities included account management, client counseling, writing news releases, by-line articles, press kit materials for primarily financial, real estate, and high tech accounts. Successfully implemented publicity tours for Financial Service Corporation's, FSC, investment seminars in Dallas and Chicago, and for GTE Telenet in Atlanta. Assisted in the production of an A/V presentation for Price Waterhouse. Developed and maintained media relations with print and broadcast interests and trade publications locally, regionally, and nationally. Initiated, researched, and wrote an article on when to sell stock for FSC. Coverage resulted in front-page articles in both the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The article was also picked up by United Press International and appeared in newspapers throughout the country.
