Sr. Program Manager responsible for DoD & NASA h/w development projects. Responsibilites include cost, schedule, and technical compliance per government contracts. Current assignments are: 1) the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Microwave Imager (GMI) for NASA/GSFC. Succesfully delivered all required GSE and the GMI sensor to NASA on March 5, 2012. Successful GPM launch on February 27, 2014. The GMI radiometer is producing highly accurate earth brightness temperatures and operating extremely well. 2) Program Manager for the Air Force Weather Satillite Follow-on Microwave Sensor contract. Primary objectives are to provide the AF two recommended sensor solutions for future Defense Weather Mission. 3) Program Manager for the Orion Phased Array Antenna Subsystem. This system is the primary communications link on the Orion crew & crew module vehicles. Earned Ball Aerospace Civil Operational Space Strategic Business Unit Program Manager Excellence Award in 2008. Previous experience includes various passive & active antenna technolgies including microstrip, low observable, and phased arrays operating from 1 to 200 GHz. Other related managed projects include: Traffic Collision Avoidance System, Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission, Mars Pathfinder, Shuttle Radar Topographical Mission, F-22 & F-35 stealth aircraft LO apertures, Ground Nuclear Detonation Detection System Terminal , Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile & Hellfire missile programs.

Finished basic training in Dec-1976 and finished A-school in Oct-1977. Joined VA-145 A-6 squadron on NAS Whidbey Island as Carrier Aircraft Inertial Navigation System (CAINS) Specialist. Serviced CAINS h/w for A-6 aircraft and other aircraft aboard the USS Ranger aircraft carrier until honorable discharge in 1980.Responsible for new technique for troubleshooting CAINS system problems aboard aircraft on flight deck of aircraft carrier prior to take-off w/o removing complete 5 box system from aircraft. This technique reduced hours of troubleshooting effort while maintaining operational aircraft.
