Responsible for the mortgage lending origination, operations, underwriting, and closing/funding departments for 50 retail credit union branches with average annualized funding of $500 million in 1st mortgage production, including manufactured housing meeting both portfolio and secondary market salability guidelines. Established the credit union’s newly created subsidiary (9/2018) providing for a full-service mortgage platform for multiple Arizona credit unions while achieving a 96% ‘very satisfied’ member satisfaction rating. Served as the Arizona Responsible Individual (RI).

Responsible for branch start-ups in the Phoenix market, achieving profitability within 6 months, supervising branch sales and operations’ production of VA, FHA, USDA, and Conventional first mortgages.

Responsible for all retail mortgage lending production for 228 Retail Financial Centers in Arizona and Central and Southern California. JPMorgan Chase acquired Washington Mutual Bank in September of 2008.

Supervised the retail loan origination for Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Utah. Staff head count included over 800 loan officers with $14 billion in annual loan production. Served as the company’s representative to the Arizona Governor’s Office implementing a plan to reach out to distressed homeowners in an effort to provide communications, helping handle their financial situations and avoid foreclosure.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

Supervised the processing, underwriting, and closing functions for 10 Retail Loan Fulfillment Centers (LFCs) for $27.8 billion, including $2 billion annually in one-time and two-time new construction loans, for properties located in Washington, Illinois, Oregon, Arizona, California, Colorado, and Florida. Successfully executed business continuity plan in Florida after hurricane Rita, redeploying 5,000-plus active loan pipelines to both the Seattle and Phoenix Fulfillment Centers within 5 days of the disaster.

Responsible for start-up, organizing, managing, controlling, and evaluating loan operation functions, consisting of loan set-up, validation, underwriting, funding/closing, and shipping for Arizona and Nevada. Successfully consolidated, from the bank’s previous acquisitions, seven loan origination pipeline systems into a single platform. The consolidation was accomplished with minimum impact on teams, while maintaining transparency with our customers. Achieved Operations Summit Club. In February 2001, Washington Mutual Bank acquired PNC Mortgage.

Won two consecutive national sales contests for affinity relationship with Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Transferred to Arizona in 1991 by Sears Mortgage, which was acquired in 1993 by PNC Mortgage.
