Don Hill is the Principal and Owner of DKH LNG Consultants, LLC., where he provides strategic advisory services.Following the combination of CB&I with McDermott on 10 May 2018, Don served as the Global Vice President & LNG Product Line Executive responsible for LNG market research, customer and competitor analysis, and LNG product line strategy and developments. Don also provided project operation support. Don separated from McDermott in May 2020 and formed DKH LNG Consultants, LLC.Before the combination with McDermott, Don Hill was CB&I’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Initiatives. In this role, he focused on identifying and developing strategic business opportunities while leading special projects and initiatives for Engineering and Construction.Don joined CB&I in 2006 and led CB&I’s global LNG team as a Senior Vice President of LNG Operations, providing support for CB&I’s LNG projects, including base-load liquefaction, floating liquefaction, regasification terminals, and peak shaving facilities until being assigned to lead E&C Strategy and Initiatives in 2017.Before joining CB&I, Don worked nearly 30 years at KBR (Initially Pullman Kellogg) and was involved in practically all of its LNG projects. As KBR’s Director of LNG, GTL, and Gas Processing Technology, he led the technology team responsible for applying and developing LNG and Gas Processing technologies.Don has extensive background and experience in the LNG and gas processing industries, including all phases of plant design, engineering, start-up, and testing. In his various roles, he has lived and worked most of his career outside of the USA in the Middle East, Japan, Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, Peru, and the USA.Don has a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University and holds three patents for cryogenic processes. He has co-authored papers on topics such as LNG technology, liquefaction design, cost optimization, and plant reliability. He has been a frequent presenter, panel member, and chair at LNG and Gas conferences. A former member of the Rice University Engineering Alumni Board of Directors, Don also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business.
