Like many, Don started out as a zygote. From there he grew until he was a fetus, then a baby, then a toddler, then a young child and eventually a teenager. This impressive accomplishment still amazes Don and many others. Don's skills during this period included massive food consumption, sleep, mostly successful completion of school assignments/exams and artful interaction with totally gross adults.Don graduated from all levels of public education culminating in a degree in film and television from UCLA. His framed degree hangs proudly in his bathroom as an all-too-frequent reminder that despite all odds he actually survived public education.In 1989 Don optioned his original screenplay "Loaded Weapon" to Walt Disney Pictures which in 1993 became the smash hit movie sensation (per New Line Cinema's marketing press packet) NATIONAL LAMPOON'S LOADED WEAPON 1.
