While stationed under the third district telephone shop I was responsible for both land and ship based telecom/teletype systems from Maryland to South Carolina. Received tall tower certification by climbing the 360' radio antenna at Station cape Hatteras. While stationed aboard the Harriett Lane I was the sole technician servicing the Nortel SG-1, Model 40 teletype, 1MC, copy machines, typewriters, and any other electromechanical devices.
